Problems Index
An international team of urologists and gynaecologists,
authorities in their fields, have written what has become the
standard reference work on the subject of female urology and
urogynaecology. Starting with the subject's history and
epidemiology across the world, the textbook's eighty-one
chapters cover the basic structure and function of the lower
urinary tract in the female; the diagnostic evaluation of
incontinence and prolapse (including tests, urodynamics and
radiology); the treatment of incontinence, prolapse and related
conditions (including non-operative therapy and management; the
different forms of surgical therapy and the complications of
surgery); the different forms of associated disorders, including
urinary tract infections and lower bowel disorders; and other
considerations that include care in the community and medico-
legal aspects.
The appendices include guidelines by the International
Continence Society.
